I bought this for travel for Email and browsing. Which it performs very well for both, although I run thunderbird the unit can not cope with all my email accounts (about 10) got a bit bogged down, but I did expect this. Battery is a bit poor, 2-3 hours max, but I turn down the screen it last a little longer.
If your not expecting a Vaio this is a good buy but I would not recommend buying this as your one and only laptop, great for the breif case, small light easy to get out !

This Compaq 10.2 inch netbook is really the same as its HP brother. Specification is excellent, the keyboard is probably the best you can get on a netbook and the build quality is superb. Only limitations are that the hard disk is only 60Gb (but who would really need more on a netbook?) and battery life is a little low at 2 to 3 hours, which is pretty typical for standard batteries. In terms of value for money this is a great product.

Very pleased with the Compaq 702. I reviewed a number of other mini notebooks, and this one came out best overall, being good value for money. It has been said that the camera gives a dark picture, but I find that with external power there is no problem, and with internal power and facing into the light, again no problem. Friends in Australia, while on Skype, have said that the received picture is very good. The 60GB hard disk is more than big enough for a small very portable computer. The build quality is excellent, with very good back-up support from H.P. A good buy

I have bought this laptop recently and it runs nicely as I expected. To be honest, you can find areas which could have been improved but bear in mind that improvement costs money. You’ll get what you pay for.
I 100% would recommend this to anyone who wants to buy a lovely little netbook to do everyday’s tasks.

As a PC, it is a good little machine, great for surfing and general PC activities. However if for what ever reason, (i.e. failing sight and other disability that affects your vision, want to review your designs/graphics on a larger screen), and you would like to connect it to some sort of Monitor or Screen, it is not the machine for you. There is an adaptor, I have seen an image on various sites on the internet, but none – including HPs own site are able to offer it to purchase. I am starting to think it does not exist. If anyone knows different, I would love to know.
