this is the best netbook i have trialed!!! it has everything my home pc has except the disc drive. but it does have a card reader built in.

saying that i have it connected on my home network and any files on my home pc i can read via wireless onto this and copy without a disc!

this netbook does everything and the battery life is the best ever!

cannot fault it in the slightest. for the price its a bargain. what on earth could you possibly want more from a laptop/netbook??

I absolutely love this little machine! I bought it for my teenage son and it has surpassed my expectations in every way. It is super quick, has a good-sized keyboard, a brilliant battery life, is exceptionally portable and has a matt screen (which is really important if you are using it in a bright or outdoor location.) Having read plenty of reviews I decided to do a 2gb ram upgrade and put Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit upgrade on it (despite PC World telling me not to!). Both were very easy to do and it doesn’t seem to have affected the NC10’s performance in any way. Don’t be put off this machine or Windows 7 by thinking you can’t upgrade from XP. The upgrade version can be used on XP machines, but you do need to perform a “clean install” which sounds complicated, but basically just means following the instructions on screen when you insert the Windows 7 disc and I found it very easy to do. I much prefer the NC10 to my own, much more expensive laptop which has twice the spec, but can’t outperform the NC10!

I won’t go into too much detail because plenty of people have already managed to convey just how great this little netbook is.

A bright and great sized screen, fantastic build quality and i will admit i maxed out the RAM to 2GB but non the less a very powerfull little ultra portable.

I have played WOW on it (Online fairly hardware demanding game), surfed the net (main reason for the NC10’s birth) and for work i often use the whole Office 2007 Suite. You can even have FIREFOX, WORD and EXCEL running at the same time without so much as a bead of sweat from the NC10.

I didn’t buy an external DVD, i have networked my main laptop DVD drive wirelessly to it so if you want to save the extra expense you can look into that then all disk installs can run from that.

Battery life is fantastic for the power, obviously it will be reduced if you run the screen on high brightness and when the prices fall i will probably look into getting a solid state HDD to conserve even more power.

Last thing i will say is yes the mouse pad is a little on the small side but not unusable and with an external mouse you still have a great sized keyboard, something had to be sacrificed and it really doesn’t impact on usage.

ENJOY YOUR MACHINE!!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE!!! ;-)
