This is my third Extreme111, as I need more memory, as I’m gradually getting busier with my semi-professional hobby. I had no hesitation in re-ordering this product, as I’ve found the previous ones to be fast and reliable. I’ve also got an Ultra11, which I’m also pleased with. (to be honest, I find no difference) I’ve previously owned 2 ‘Lexar CompactFlash cards’ which became corrupted after a while, so I wont be tempted to buy one of those again.

I wanted a card that could data transfer video quickly in my digital camera. It works extremely well and was the best value for money I could find anywhere on the net at the time.

I only ever use SanDisk cards. This, as with all my others, does not dissapoint! I have never had a card failure from a SanDisk card.

The card is excellent. It does what it says and works fine in my Nikon D5000. Good read and write speeds… can’t see it’s worth spending the extra on the 30mb/s version (this one is the 20mb/s)… not for mere mortals anyway! Must admit I have a preference for SanDisk memory…always found it reliable, Nikon recommended and it comes with free download of RescuePRO recovery software too. Having used SanDisk support live chat service too, I can report that it too is excellent.

The only gripe is with the ridiculous packaging, protective bubble pack plus box the size of a paperback! It does serve to reassure that what you’ve got is a genuine SanDisk product, but, that aside, an eco-smudge on SanDisk’s excellent product.

Please, do yourself a favour, don’t buy this card, hoping to get a 300x version, because you won’t.

I sent it back 5 times, hoping to, but no, they just send me the older 133x version, without the card reader (I thought you either got the 300x or the 133x with a card reader, but no. there is even space in the clamshell packaging for it…)

If you are looking for the 300x version, it is here: 4GB Extreme III Secure Digital (SDHC) Card (30MB/s)
