I’d had my CX300s for a while and was in the market for some new headphones after my Sony MDR-V300s were accidentally broken. I wanted something a little bigger than the pads that rested on my ears with the Sony’s and the HD202s offered that.
The pads cup around your ears to isolate the sound and provide an excellent fit. I have huge ears in comparison to most and I had no issue with comfort when wearing these. The design of the earpads may annoy you if you wear glasses as it pushed mine into my face but you get used to it in time and it’s never really an issue.
The cable is nice and long which some may find aggravating but I find great as I like to wander around my room when listening to music or Skyping. If it does get in the way Sennheiser include a rather handy little gizmo to wrap the cable around and keep it out of the way. It can clip onto your clothing but I’ve found the clip to not be that great and it usually just falls off and I slip it in my pocket instead.
One issue some may have with the ‘phones is the design of the adjuster. The whole headpiece is constructed of one piece of plastic and the earpads slide up and down this as opposed to the more traditional method of adjustment. It works perfectly well and once you’ve got them fitting to your head they stay that way and you’ll never have to adjust again; I can just see it getting broken in the future.
The headphones sound fantastic with the bass being most predominant, the way I like my music. Speech is fine on here but I have heard better, even though I constantly using them for recording, monitoring, and Skype calls. If you’re in the market for some new headphones I’d certainly give the HD202s a look. They’re cheap and offer amazing quality.

Just got these headphones for a birthday present, very good sound, great as secondary earmuffs, however, when you get them out the packaging, if you’re using them for an iPod etc, DO NOT UNWRAP ALL THE CORD because you’ll end up with it underneath your feet, tripping up, and having to find the cord to wrap it back up again. As it comes out the box is long enough cord length, but unless you’re using it for decks from a long distance (don’t know why you would anyway) i wouldn’t suggest unwrapping it…

This is an excellent product, the only thing i didnt realise is it came with the extra jack to plug it into a keyboard etc.. so you dont need to buy it seperatley !
good decent range of sound. but earpieces aren’t as big as the look in the picture, they are quite thin barely cover the ears compared to other headphones .
