I hate these. I am using the smallest plugs and they still don’t stay in my ears they keep falling out. Extremely uncomfortable.

The sound quality is very bad. Its as if there is no base. The only reason this doesnt get 1 star is because they are comfortable but terrible sound quality.

In the run up to Christmas many people may be looking round the tinterweb for

great Christmas savings on iPods’. We all love IPods’ don’t we! Small, stylish,

even the scroll wheel is fun enough to keep people entertained for hours!

One thing that baffles me is people justify spending hundred’s of pounds on

these wonderful gadgets, and listen to them with the dreaded included iPod

headphones! Jeremy Clarkson once said that he loves his iPod but its not as

good as seeing the band live, agreed, but you can get a damn sight nearer

by binning Apples excuses for headphones. Spending an extra 10% of the iPods price

on a respectable pair of in ear headphones will give you a listening experience

a gazillion million billion times better!

SOUND QUALITY!

One of the complaints someone had was ‘the sound is flat.’ The sound isn’t flat, actually

it needs to be flatter. There is a bit too much treble, long listening period may

become slightly less enjoyable. I suppose the only reason Sony do this, is that most people

who buy headphones in this price bracket don’t know what to look for and seem to like

an overly bright and crisp sound. They then judge products solely on the amount of bass

and treble and not even considering the mid range. I’m no audio expert but I take

enjoyment in listening to good quality audio something, I’m afraid, these Sony headphones

cant quite deliver. But don’t get me wrong compared to iPod headphones they rock!

COMFORT!

10/10. Need i say no more!…..well maybe a little. Unlike with sound quality, its very hard

to make a pair of headphones that will fit everyone of all shapes and sizes perfectly.

I have no issues with them, after a while you forget they are there, leaving your free to

enjoy the music, that’s if the sound quality was improved! Amazon have a return policy

so if they don’t fit you properly you can just send them back and receive a full refund.

I must stress to keep the packaging for a few weeks to make absolutely sure they are right

for you!

BUILD QUALITY!

Don’t expect any miracles they are only £15 headphones, the quality is fine just look after

them and they should stay in one piece =D

SUMMARY

These headphones offer a easy cheap upgrade from the nasty standard iPod headphones,

they a comfortable and offer good build quality for the price. However they are

slightly let down by the sound which is just not up to par with senn’s cx300s.

This could just be me but I feel Sony need to do somthing about the treble.

For only this reason they will not be on my Christmas list this year.

Sound 7/10…. Comfort 10/10…. Build Qual’ 8/10 (for price)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I have owned a pair of these headphones for about a year now. I will agree with some of the other reviews and say that these headphones are not perfect. However, being that i have used Sennheiser in the past and often spent upwards of £50 for headphones every 2-3 months, i think that these are superb for the price. OK, so for some of you, there might not be enough native bass from the headphones, but with a little EQ tweaking this situation can be improved. I must admit, this far down the line my right earphone (which i have used every day for at least 3 hours) has finally given in, and the overall volume has decreased, but it is still worth it even though when i bought them they were about £30.

Comfort-wise. Being an everyday biker and having one of the earphones in whilst riding, i must say that they are unbelievably comfortable. The slight angle is designed for ergonomics, so yes it may feel different at first, but wear them for a couple of hours and you will definitely find them more comfortable.

To sum up these earphones, i would have to say that they are unbeatable for the price. The sound quality is good enough for 90% of what most people will use them for, and the level of comfort is second to none in the sub-£50 range. Do not try and use them for recording studios or other such professional reasons, because they do not cover the full range of frequencies. However for the everyday user, they deal with the necessary frequencies, and as such they are more than worth it.
